Are you looking to travel to the great city of London and have no idea what to do or wear? Well, you are in luck because this is a guide on what to wear, where to eat, what to do and much more. It is time to become a real Londoner and explore one of the most talked-about, important cities in the world!
Let’s Get to the Basics:London is not your typical city, most residents walk around in business suits and prefer to be dressy over casual. Different from the typical American style, a day-to-day London style consists of a business casual kind of outfit. The city tends to have a “light winter” sort of weather all year round, so one must prepare and pack for the cold weather. Layers are key! The city is also quite rainy, so a pair of Wellies as the Londoners call them or rain boots are a packing essential. Let’s get started!

Business casual clothes some suggestions include:
Nice pants such as jeans or khakis, and a blazer, blouse, or cardigan
Jacket (Heavy or lightweight depending on the season)

Make Traveling Easier:London Pass - This pass can be used to see over 80 sights and attractions. On the next page, everything with “LP” next to it will give you just a peek at the attractions that you can enjoy with the London Pass. The pass also gives you fast-track entry at some attractions one day on the hop-on-hop-off bus and deals and discounts.
Oyster Card - This card allows you to use the Underground which Londoners call “The Tubes.” This is the oldest underground railway in the world and has over 408 km of track. The electric train takes users all over the city and many Londoners rely on the system every day for work or other activities.
London Eye (LP) - This colossal Ferris wheel, built in 1999, is a famous attraction in London that takes about 30 minutes to go fully around. Located on the South Bank of the River Thames the wheel stands 135 meters high and provides a panoramic view of the city. To ride the wheel it costs around 27 pounds for adults and 22 pounds for kids. You will not want to miss this amazing view!
Big Ben (LP) - Right near the London Eye is the House of Parliament and Big Ben. It is unknown how Big Ben originally got its name, but some people believe it came from Sir Benjamin Hall who supervised its installment. However, before being named Big Ben the tower had the name Clock Tower and in 2012 changed was renamed to Elizabeth Tower to honor the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II. Visitors can sit in on debates and committee hearings as well as take a tour inside the Houses of Parliament, but only residents of the United Kingdom can take tours inside Big Ben.
Tower of London and Tower Bridge (LP) - Around the center of the city this 900-year-old castle is home to crown jewels and holds a lot of the city's history. In the past, the tower acted as a fortress to protect the city and it’s people with over 20 towers to shield others. The crown jewels which are located within the complex were very important to the British Monarchy and some are still used today by Queen Elizabeth II. The tower also has one of the best views of Tower Bridge, a famous bridge that most non-Londoners mistake to be London Bridge. Visitors can see the Crown Jewels and learn about the history of the tower for 26 pounds (adults) and 12.90 pounds (kids age 5-15).
Buckingham Palace (LP) - This is where Queen Elizabeth II resides with her husband, Prince Phillip. It is located in the City of Westminster and has 775 rooms.
Kensington Palace (LP) - This is the home Queen Victoria resided in as a child and has housed other royals for over 300 years. A few royals today such as William, Kate, Katharine and Edward who live at Kensington Palace while Meghan and Harry lived on the grounds prior to relinquishing their royal duties Kensington Palace.
Harrods - Located on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge this department store that started as a single room of groceries has now expanded to selling over 5,000 brands. The store is also famous for its in-store services and has brands such as Fendi, Gucci, Burberry and so much more.
Eat:London has a variety of food from its fish and chips to its English Breakfast the city is full of options. A fairly popular meal is the English breakfast which consists of bacon, fried eggs, sausage, mushrooms, baked beans, toast, and grilled tomatoes. Some other popular meals are fish and chips, pies such as shepherd's pie, roast duck and afternoon tea. Many places host an afternoon tea such as Harrods which serve small finger sandwiches, little desserts and tea of the customers choosing. Pubs are also fairly popular as there are over 3,500 within the city, they have many options such as fish and chips, shepherd's pie and drinks to share with friends.

Victoria and Albert Museum, which is open from 10 am-5:45 pm.Markets:Old Spitalfields Market hosts different events and has a variety of food, drinks, shops, artists, etc.
Camden Lock Market is one of the world’s most famous markets because it was London’s first crafts and antique markets. The market still focuses on crafts today and every year it receives about 28 million visitors.
